Managing order flow 

Managing orders efficiently is key to a smooth operation. This guide walks you through accepting, preparing, and completing orders in App8 Manager. You'll also learn how to pause ordering during busy periods and access past order history through the Restaurant Portal.




Access and review orders

  1. Open App8 Manager.
  2. Click on the "Pending" column to view new orders.
  3. Tap an order to view its details.






Accept or decline orders

  1. Scroll down and select "Accept" or "Decline":
    • Accepted orders move to the "In progress" column.
    • Declined orders move to the "Cancelled" column, requiring a reason for cancellation.
  2. Guests receive a notification and email confirmation when their order is accepted or declined.






Complete orders

  1. While preparing an order, leave it in the "In progress" column.
  2. Orders automatically sort by pickup time.
  3. Once ready for pickup:
    • Tap the order and scroll down to select "Completed".
    • The order moves to the "Completed" column.
    • Guests receive a text and email notification that their order is ready.






Order history

  1. Orders remain in the "Completed" or "Cancelled" column for 3 days before being automatically cleared.
  2. Use the Restaurant Portal to access past orders and reports.






Pause & resume ordering

  1. Click the pause icon above the "Cancelled" column to stop new orders during busy periods.
  2. Click the pause icon again to resume ordering.
